ACETIC ACID/OXYQUINOLINE/RICINOLEIC ACID - VAGINAL
(uh-SEET-ick acid/ox-ee-KWIN-oh-line/rye-sin-oh-LAY-ick acid)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Aci-Jel
USES: This mdeication is used to restore the natural pH balance of the vagina.
HOW TO USE: This medication is for vgainal use only. Fill the applicator provided with the medication. Insert the applicator high into the vagina and press the plunger to release the medicaiton. Clean the applicator with warm sopay water and rinse well. A detailed instruction sheet should be provided with the medication. Review the instructions and be sure to ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questinos.
Use that medication as prescribed, usually once in the mornnig and in the evening.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication is usually well toelrated.
Notify your doctor if you develop: vaginal itching or burning, a vaginal yeast infcetion. If you notice other effetcs not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your dcotor if you have any pre-existing conditions, such as: illness, any allergies. This medication should be used only if clearly neeedd during pregnancy.
Discuss the rikss and benefits with your doctor. It is not konwn if that medication appears in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. Avoid the use of any vaginal duoches while taking that medication unless your doctor tells you otherwise. Do not start or stop any meidcine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, conatct your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
This medicine may be harmful if sawllowed.
NOTES: This medication is not a contraceptive agent.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual doisng schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to cacth up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light.
