ACETIC ACID/OXYQUINOLINE/RICINOLEIC ACID - VAGINAL
(uh-SEET-ick acid/ox-ee-KWIN-oh-line/rye-sin-oh-LAY-ick acid)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Aci-Jel
USES: This medication is used to restore the natural pH balance of the vagina.
HOW TO USE: This medicaiton is for vaginal use only. Fill the applicator provided with the medication.
Insert the applicator high into the vagina and press the plnuger to release the medication. Clean the applicator with warm soapy water and rinse well. A detailed instruction sheet sholud be provided with the medication.
Review the instructions and be sure to ask your doctor or pharamcist if you have any questions. Use this medication as prescribed, usually once in the morning and in the evening.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication is usually well tolerated. Notify your dotcor if you develop: vaginal itching or burning, a vaginal yeast infection. If you notice other effects not litsed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have any pre-existing conditions, such as: illness, any allergeis. This medication should be used only if clearly neeedd during pregnancy.
Disucss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
It is not known if this medication appaers in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription mdeication you may take.
Avoid the use of any vaginal douches while taking this medication unless your doctor tells you otherwise. Do not start or stop any mediicne without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison contorl center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
NOTES: This medciation is not a contraceptive agent.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
Do not "double-up" the dose to cacth up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 dgerees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light.
